Sermon Summary:
Baptism Sunday reminded us of the incredible power of a testimony. Throughout Scripture, we see that God never intended His work in our lives to stop with us. When God changes us, heals us, restores us, or saves us, our story becomes a witness to others of His goodness and grace.

Using the story of the blind man in John 9, we saw that Jesus transformed an ordinary life into a powerful testimony. While others focused on the man’s past and looked for someone to blame, Jesus redirected their attention to what God could do. His past was part of his story, but it was not the end of the story.

The message challenged us to remember that if we have experienced God’s grace, we have been sent to be His witnesses. A witness is not someone who has all the answers or tries to win arguments. A witness simply shares what they have personally experienced. Like the blind man, our testimony can be as simple as: “I was blind, and now I can see.”

Ultimately, God is inviting each of us to live as witnesses of His grace wherever He has placed us.

1. The Power of a Testimony The message reminded us that testimonies have the power to inspire hope and trigger transformation. Can you think of a time when someone else’s story encouraged or impacted your faith? What made it so powerful?
2. Your Story Matters The blind man didn’t have all the answers, but he knew what Jesus had done for him. What part of your story could be a source of encouragement or hope to someone else right now?
3. Sent to Be a Witness The sermon challenged us with the idea that if we have been saved, we have been sent. Who has God already placed in your world that may need to hear about His grace through your life or your story?

Take a few minutes this week to write down a simple version of your testimony using three parts:

1. What life was like before Jesus (or before God intervened).
2. What Jesus did.
3. How your life is different today.

Ask God to show you one person He may be inviting you to encourage, pray for, or share your story with this week.
